Data Science Manager (Costa Rica)
We are seeking a skilled Data Science Manager to join their team. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in implementing and enhancing machine learning projects, with a focus on customer-centric applications.
Rate in USD: 35 per hour
Key Responsibilities
Project examples include product recommendations based on customer behavior, optimizing algorithms to enhance upselling potential and identify new business opportunities, churn models, sentiment analysis, Chatbots and virtual assistants, dynamic pricing models, fraud detection, customer segmentation, to name a few.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field.
- 8+ years of proven experience in architecting and implementing machine learning projects, specifically in areas mentioned above,
- Proven success record delivering data products with a business impact.
- 2+ years of experience leading data teams, while staying hands-on.
- Proficiency in Python/R programming with knowledge of Pandas, NumPy, and SciKit-Learn.
- Strong background in math, statistics, and data processing/ETL (SQL skills are a plus).
- In-depth knowledge of supervised and unsupervised machine learning algorithms.
- Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, GCP, or Azure.
- Proficient in data visualization tools and effective communication of results to business teams.
- Advanced written and verbal communication in English
